Basic navigation should be a skill that every hiker and camper understands. This video discusses using a GPS, compass and topo map to do some basic land navigation.
Navigation should not be left to just 1 or 2 devices. When the technology is available, why not use it? The GPS in the video is a Garmin Etrex, the compass is a Silva and the topo map is a basic USGS map.
